ARFL NEWS: The new Siemens 128 Slice Scanner is now operating in addition to our Siemens 64 Slice Scanner
In May of 2010 the Arnot Ogden Medical Center installed a Siemens Definition 128 slice CT scanner. This is now operating in addition to our Siemens 64 slice CT scanner. The new 128 slice scanner enhances Arnot Ogden's abilities to accommodate our Bariatric patients with a larger opening (78 cm as opposed to 70 cm) and an increased weight capacity of up to 661 pounds.
The new scanner also has a faster rotation speed and most importantly, capabilities to further reduce radiation dose associated with CT scanning to the absolute lowest possible levels while still delivering optimal diagnostic imaging. Click here to learn more |
